On models with lateral elements of furnish of thresholds before jack installation under the car bottom it is necessary to remove a furnish element, — pull for its bottom edge, develop upwards and remove. |

- Take care of reliability of input of a head of a jack in gearing with a ledge of an edge of rigidity of a threshold.

- Rotating the jack handle, lift the car so that the wheel subject to replacement has come off the earth, — watch, that подпятник a jack constantly leant against the earth all surface and settled down strictly under a head. Having thrown off fixing nuts, remove a wheel and establish on its place spare. Towage
Towage of an emergency vehicle

The cars equipped АТ, can be towed by a forward course on all four wheels with the speed which is not exceeding 55 km/h (35 miles/ch) and on distance no more than 80 km (50 miles). - Release a lay brake;

- Translate the selector lever in position D, then — in neutral (N);

- If there is a necessity for towage of the car equipped manual transmission without a separation of wheels from the earth, do not forget to translate a control lever on neutral transfer and to release a lay brake.
- Use at towage of an emergency vehicle only towing sling specially intended for this purpose which can be got cheaply practically in any shop of automobile accessories. The sling should cling only for bearing кузовные elements, — at all to a bumper.

- Cars considered in the present Management are equipped by a stationary back towing eye and to demountable lobbies.

- For installation of a demountable forward eye it is necessary to remove preliminary established on a bumper заглушку, or to cast away a cover (depending on body type):

On models of Hetchbek, the Sedan and the Versatile person the nest for installation of a demountable towing eye in a forward bumper is equipped by a folding protective cover;

|
On models of the Compartment and the Cabriolet the nest under installation of a forward towing eye is muffled by a round demountable stopper.
|
|
- Take from a cover stored in a niche under запаску a demountable eye and screw its carving part in a nest against the stop.

The eye is equipped by a link sided carving, therefore it should be rolled counter-clockwise. |

Before a start of motion drivers of both vehicles (towing and towed) should co-ordinate among themselves a route.
Movement should be carried out only with moderate speeds, on the shortest route and observance ПДД. Avoid sharp braking, accelerations and maneuvering. Remember that at car towage on a roadside or a narrow dirt road always there is a danger of a pulling down for limits проезжей parts.
On both cars external lighting devices according to «traffic Rules» should be included.
Towage for the purpose of engine start

Before to try to start the engine towage, it is necessary to use whenever possible the storage battery of other car for engine start — address to following subsection. |
During towage it is necessary for driver of the towed car to adhere to following rules:

- Before the towage beginning include 3rd transfer manual transmission, squeeze out a pedal of coupling and keep it in the pressed condition.
- Include ignition (position of II lock of ignition).
- When both cars will be in movement, smoothly release a coupling pedal. Right after start realisation, in order to avoid arrival on a sling, switch off transfer.
- At towage equipped каталитическим the car converter (except diesel models) do not make start attempt on distance more than 50 m, otherwise not burnt down fuel will get in каталитический the converter that can lead to an exit of the last out of operation.
- Start equipped АТ the engine by means of towage is not obviously possible owing to design features of the unit.
